Ready for what comes next
EffecTech will continue to build on 30 years of technical expertise, accredited capabilities and practical experience to help customers respond to changing gas measurement requirements.
Over the past 30 years, EffecTech has built a reputation as a global leader in gas quality measurement. Our UKAS-accredited activities help customers understand and manage measurement uncertainty, reducing the financial risks associated with mismeasurement. Over the next 10 years, natural gas and LNG are likely to remain important transition fuels.
Biomethane is also expected to play an important role in displacing conventional natural gas with a renewable source of energy. While EffecTech will continue to support customers working with natural gas, LNG and biomethane, we are also looking ahead to new measurement requirements as the energy industry changes.
Jonathan Britain Business Manager
Our current research and development is focused on the measurement of impurities in CO₂, alongside the development of reference materials for calibrating the analytical instrumentation used to measure them. Although it is difficult to predict how quickly this sector will grow or what other requirements will emerge, EffecTech can build on its experience in natural gas to respond as the industry’s measurement needs develop.
With the backing of our owner, Linde, I am confident that we can continue investing in our facilities, attracting new talent and developing the products, services and expertise needed to meet future measurement challenges.
